Usually make my mom a delicious breakfast spend some time with her and then go to my in-laws to celebrate with her. This year we;re changing it up a bit and spending the morning with my mother-in-law and the evening with my parents. :)
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately (because I'm a military wife) I can't be with my mommy this Mothers Day. But I sent her back a few nice gifts and I'll skype her. Then when I am back to visit we'll go out for a "My Birthday Her Mothers Day" dinner (since they're days apart!)
ReplyDeleteIt depends what my husband and daughter wants to do for me.
ReplyDeleteWe just spend time as a family and sometimes go out for breakfast.
ReplyDeletewe just have a nice lunch together! my mom is too far to be with this year =(

I don't think we have any big plans for Mother's Day. My husband will probably make a nice dinner. Both of our moms live far away. :(

We usually do something special for lunch--either we go out to eat or my husband grills. My husband also plants lots of flowers outside for me, since I tend to have a black thumb, lol, but I like the yard to look nice. :-)
ReplyDeleteSleep in and then usually spend the day with the grandparents :)
ReplyDeleteWe buy and make gifts and visit all the grandma's and take their gifts to them.
ReplyDeleteFor mothers day I usually either sit at home with the family, or go out to dinner, not sure which we will do this year. We always get my mom and mother in law flowers and a card though, afterall, we wouldnt be here without them, so I feel its more important to recognize them than it is to recognize me (Im still raising my kids. they have finished raising theres already and did a good job!)
ReplyDeleteI go visit my Mother's grave and put her favorite flowers on it - jonquils, daisies, and carnations.
ReplyDeleteour mothers live too far to spend the day with them, our son is only 18months so we dont have any traditions yet...
ReplyDeletethis year we have a daughters high school graduation
ReplyDeleteWe all go to my mother in laws for a big cookout. Thank you
